Cenntennial Publication

Faircount Media Group has once again been honored with the duty of publishing an official magazine for the Navy League of the United States, Hampton Roads.

The honor of producing the publication for an event as significant as Naval Station Norfolk’s centennial is nothing new to Faircount, having produced similar publications for commissioning ceremonies of the two newest aircraft carriers to join the Fleet, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) and USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77); the 100th anniversary of U.S. Naval Aviation; the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Navy SEALs; and many others.

Contents will include:

  • The history of Naval Station Norfolk, from the Jamestown Exposition through the birth of naval aviation and the establishment of the naval station

  • Norfolk as the birthplace of naval aviation

  • Development of the Naval base

  • The relationship between the Navy, U.S. Armed Forces, and the Hampton Roads community

  • The economic impact of Naval Station Norfolk

  • Commands and tenant units
